Josh was very responsive to any questions I had (typically answered within an hour). This was my first time staying in a hostel and I would highly recommend it. Check in was extremely easy, everything was very clean and easy to find. Location is great. Easy access to down town Estes Park and walking distance to the Barrel bar.

This is a great place for travelers who intend to hike in Rocky Mountain National park or surrounding areas. It’s only a 5 min drive from the park entrance. It’s walking distance to the restaurants and shops in Estes Park.

This hostel was exactly what I needed! A warm bed as I decided to pack up camp because of the cold weather. I had to check in after hours, which I had a little confusion with but Troy was so easy to get in contact with and got me inside immediately. Place is clean, warm, and right in town! If I ever make it back out there I’d stay again!

“Hostel is conveniently located in Estes Park close to stores, restaurants, and best of all Rocky Mountain National Park! Check in was made easy. I was greeted by Russell and he gave me tips on things to do and where to eat. There are two entrances: one leading to the communal area and the other leading straight to the bunks. The kitchen area is supplied with everything you will need from bottle opener to cooking tools. The couches were very comfortable to lounge around and read a book or talk to other fellow guests. The showers were very clean and well supplied. The sleeping area had plenty of bunks and was kept nice and warm during the cold nights. I will definitely come back and stay here for future adventures. Thank you Russell and Josh!”

“A great friendly atmosphere with adults that were there taking classes. I was doing hikes at extremely odd hours and everyone here wanted to help ensure that I didn’t bite off more than I could chew with my hikes. I honestly can’t wait to go back to Estes Park again! A donut place across the street, a winery across the street, a brewery, and EVERYTHING you could want in Estes is in walking distance. Thank you for making my vacation that much more awesome!”

The space is great! Everything is clean and easy to navigate. A pillow, a blanket, a sheet, and a towel are all provided. Showers are clean and a bar of soap is provided. I was here in the off season, so I basically had the place to myself. If you have an option, avoid bed #7, it’s manageable but also up against the roof of the house!! Overall great stay and great location in downtown Estes Park. February 2019

This hostel has a fresh look and has a wonderfully equipped, clean kitchen. On the beds only mattresses, the sleeping bag you bring yourself. The proximity to the Rocky Mountains National Park is great. I would have liked to stay longer.

Comfortable mattress with good gear storage under bed and a hook for coats. A great location for getting to Rocky Mountain National Park (less than 10 minutes to entrance), and to mix with guides and clients of Colorado Mountain School.

The hostel is a great property! We stayed during Christmas and the view was wonderful. Had enough snow to let my kids play outside in the snow where I could see them from the warmth of the cottage. Laundry facilities available during the week and the amenities were outstanding. I hope someone enjoyed the sleds and snowball makers I left behind!

When you stay at a hostel, there are three main factors that affect your experience: the host, the features of the facility, and the other guests. I didn’t see the host during my stay, so I can’t say much about that part – other than the communication before the stay was fine and there are written instructions upon arrival. The other guests really are the “luck of the draw” – other than I imagine that almost everyone who chooses to stay at a hostel is quite content with limited privacy, is open to being around people from a wide variety of backgrounds, and is looking for affordable housing. The facility was perfect for my needs and I would certainly come back. The building is only five minutes away from both the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and to the “core” downtown area in Estes Park. The main floor has a nice kitchen for preparing food and hanging out if others in your bank of beds are trying to sleep. The sleeping area is definitely communal, but adequate after hiking all day. So, if you’re looking for a place that’s close to Rocky Mountain National Park and relatively affordable, this is a place for you.

Had a great time here! It’s nothing over-the-top, but I love the independence of the self check-in, and the place was very clean. People were super nice, and the lodge manager gave great hiking tips and was keeping the place very organized.

My stay at the Estes Park Adventure Hostel could not have been a better experience. I met the hostel manager, Josh on day one and he was extremely welcoming and helpful. The accommodations exceeded my expectations in cleanliness, amenities and location. The hostel is cleaned daily and is spotless even during my stay with snow accumulation and high traffic. The kitchen was heavily used, but there is ample space for everyone and plenty of comfortable seating and all the pots, pots and utensils you could require. The hostel is located right on the edge of Estes Park with a lovely view of The Diamond on Long’s Peak with shopping, dining and groceries within walking distance and I highly recommend a stroll down the Estes Park Riverwalk that follows the Big Thompson/Fall River. I would highly recommend a stay at the hostel, I met great people during my stay and I would encourage anyone with the time and interest to also register for climbing instruction from Colorado Mountain School, you will treasure the experience.
