Gym to Crag Online

  • Price: $29.00$499.00

The Gym to Crag Online program is designed to teach an experienced indoor climber how to make a responsible transition to outdoor sport climbing.

Overview:

Gym to Crag Online helps an indoor sport climber anticipate the environment and the community they will encounter when they start climbing outdoors.  By the end of course work, students will be able to avoid the awkward learning curve that often accompanies a new sport.  Instead, we reveal the unknown in light of what’s familiar, using the proficiencies an indoor climber already has to move responsibly into the outdoors.

Over the course of 7 lessons, Gym to Crag Online introduces a portrait of proficiency, reviews skills learned indoors, explores outdoor stewardship and etiquette, helps a climber make adequate preparation for outdoor outing, expands on belaying and lead climbing skill sets for an outdoor setting, and helps participants make a plan for the future.
