Mountaineering

With more than 100 peaks towering above 10,000 feet, Rocky Mountain National Park offers a lifetime’s worth of spires, snow couloirs, ice smears, and non-technical peak ascents.  Though striking in their exposure and quality, most all of the routes in Rocky Mountain National Park can be climbed in a day.  Capped by Longs Peak, Colorado’s most coveted 14er, “The Park” is the perfect mix of easily accessible alpine training grounds and remote wilderness climbing objectives.

Whether you’re interested in climbing your first peak or training to climb the Seven Summits, Colorado Mountain School offers a full array of mountaineering courses to help you prepare.  From movement skills and navigation, to alpine anchors and snow caves, our myriad of courses will give you the skills you need to reach any summit on the planet.
