Adam’s first climb was in 2002 on a NOLS course in the Wind River Range of Wyoming. That first sight of the Wind River’s stirred something deep in his soul. Ever since, he has had his sights set on developing the skills that can take him to the summit of the world’s high peaks. His climbing and skiing travels have taken him to Canada, Mexico, Patagonia, Iceland, Thailand, Europe, Nepal, and all across the American West. More than anything, he is drawn to the unique rewards found adventuring in the high peaks of the world’s remote mountain ranges with great friends and clientele.

As a mountain professional, Adam has been guiding since 2007 and spent 10 summers as a Climbing Ranger in the National Park Service working on specialized alpine technical rescue teams. In 2015, along with his team, he received a Valor Award from the Department of the Interior for his work as the technical team leader in a rescue on the East Face of Long’s Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park. He has guided and trained in Rock, Alpine, Ski, and Ice venues throughout the Western US and Pacific Northwest. When not climbing personally or professionally, Adam teaches Wilderness Medicine courses for NOLS.

Adam currently bases out of Estes Park, CO with his amazing Wife and dog, Eddie. He greatly appreciates the privilege to share his backyard of Rocky Mountain National Park with motivated clientele.
