Ally grew up in a Midwest community where outdoor adventure sports were a foreign concept. Little did she know she would discover herself in the mountains on a trip to the Rockies in 2011. Her passion for human connection, teaching, and climbing is rooted in Colorado State University’s Outdoor Program. For the past three and half years, Ally has taken students of all ages into the mountains of Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and Ecuador to backpack, rock/ice climb, and ski. Ally is also very passionate about mental health, and truly believes that getting outside, challenging yourself, and connecting with other people is the most powerful medicine for invisible illnesses.
Ally will graduate with a BS in Natural Resources in May of 2020 from Colorado State University. She hopes to pursue a career in providing people with life-changing outdoor experiences, and as a result, teach people how to conserve wild spaces for a lifetime of play! Ally is a certified Wilderness First Responder, AMGA Single Pitch Instructor, and has taken an AIARE Avalanche Level 1 and Avalanche Rescue courses.
