As a Colorado native, Josh grew up with a deep love of the outdoors. Throughout his childhood, his weekends were spent hiking, camping, and skiing. He started climbing at age fifteen at a local indoor wall and never looked back. Since then, Josh spent four years, including a year and a half overseas, serving in the United States Marines and has earned his Single Pitch Instructor certification with the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA). He is also a certified Wilderness First Responder.
Josh is currently working toward his Rock Guide certification with the AMGA, and continues to climb harder routes around Estes Park, Boulder, and surrounding areas (including 11d sport routes around Clear Creek Canyon). His passion for sharing the sport and teaching skills to new climbers makes him an exceptional guide.
