Hailing from the great state of Illinois, Luke has had a love for the outdoors all his life. He picked up the sport of rock climbing while in college, and upon graduating with degrees in Park and Recreation Administration and Program Management, he spent the better part of a year climbing and guiding in the Sierra Mountains of California – amassing quite a large resume of rock routes. Although he climbs ice, backcountry skis, and dabbles in mountaineering, rock climbing is his go-to. Luke thrives on climbing cracks – particularly the offwidth cracks that the rest of us make a point to avoid. A few of his favorite local wide climbs include October Light, Crack of Fear, Haradrim and The Umph Slot, but don’t be fooled, Luke recently onsighted the 11C tips crack of Pony Express in Eldorado Canyon.
Luke is an AGMA Certified Single Pitch Instructor, a Wilderness First Responder and has completed the AIARE Level I course.
