Eric Shaw
Eric Shaw is an American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) Certified Rock, Alpine, and Ski Guide and the 207th American to receive IFMGA certification. He is also a Wilderness First Responder, AAI Avalanche Course Leader, and holds a AAA Pro Level 2 Avalanche Certificate.
Eric has climbed and guided all over the world and led everything from Denali expeditions to 50-day canoe trips on the Alaskan Coast. In his spare time, he enjoys, reading, cooking, playing music, and hiking with his 10lb Chihuahua, Leonard.
In addition to his guiding career, Eric has a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Denver and works part-time as a substance abuse recovery therapist.
